The "Warm Swims" bandana is designed by Claudia Osborn, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA
The chosen charity is Bush Heritage Australia
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia Claudia explains that her favorite place to watch the sunset is sitting on a headland - any headland, overlooking the water. Replete with rich oranges and pinks that fill the sky, and their crystallized reflection in the blue waters, this epic view inspired her design.
In her words, “After I finished designing the piece all I wanted to do was jump into that little lake and have a Summer afternoon swim. So, why not name it after that feeling?” Tie up this bandana, find a great view, and hold those fleeting feelings close all Summer (and all year) long!
Claudia Osborn (aka Maus Haus) is an artist and illustrator based in Brisbane, Australia whose earthy, multi-tonal creations are influenced by the colors and shapes of nature. Her soothing landscapes are like a massage for your eyeballs, and evoke that sublime feeling of the sun bathing a scene in golden hour light. As she explained to us, Claudia's work takes cues from "going on hikes and seeing the various ways those elements can form and interact with each other." When she can't get outside, she also draws heavily on on outdoor photography to inspire her designs. Weaving this inspiration with technical training in color blocking blocking and color theory, Claudia instills depth and emotion into her creations, while staying true to a beautiful simple design aesthetic. We're thrilled to have worked with Claudia on this design, along with her "Pockets" bandana design for our Fall '21 exclusive collection with REI.
